With the end of World War II, American soldiers stationed in various countries were about to return home. They wanted to bring back local culture and ethnic characteristics as souvenirs, embroidering their jackets with symbols of the region, even their military service and military history. This embellishment conveyed both the glory of the service and the helplessness of wartime. The souvenir jacket gradually emerged amidst this wave of returning home. Embroidery techniques varied slightly across eras and countries, and even the patterns and inscriptions reflected the passage of time.
The Smoking jacket features a different silhouette than other souvenir jackets, primarily constructed from velvet or silk fabrics, with loofah collars and lapel cuffs, often in deep shades of dark green, midnight blue, and burgundy. This particular jacket features contrasting color schemes and the intricate and time-consuming handcrafted symbolic double dragon embroidery, featuring a gold onion embroidery and silver onion hand-sewn framed motifs. The meticulous "two onions" technique, known as "jumping yarn," brings the design to life, adding a touch of flirtatious charm to the wearer.
The lining has a soft, spring-like pink hue, no obvious damage, and is in good overall condition.

We recommend sending it to the laundry service rather than using a dryer to avoid shrinking the wool. If you wish to clean it in water, please be sure to read the instructions carefully and use a mild, neutral detergent. For a simple clean, spray the entire area with alcohol and air dry.
Note: Do not expose to sunlight after spraying with alcohol.

CARE & MAINTENANCE
It is recommended to hand wash and use a neutral detergent to gently soak and rinse, then dry in the shade. On weekdays, you can spray a large area with alcohol and let it air dry to complete a simple cleaning.
Do not expose to the sun after spraying alcohol.

Most of our merchandise is vintage, used, or second-hand. Some are dead stock (NOS), but these items may have been manufactured for decades and may still have varying degrees of age.
All photos are taken from actual products and may cause slight color differences due to factors such as equipment and photo post-production. Product dimensions are measured manually, so there may be an error of ±2 cm.
All products are cleaned, pressed, and lightly repaired before shipment. However, vintage clothing will inevitably have irreversible marks due to age, purpose, and frequency of use. If there are obvious flaws or stains, we will specifically note them with photos or text.
If there are any issues such as condition, color, size, defects, damage, etc., please read the information on the product page carefully before purchasing and evaluate your own acceptance. After-sales service
If the product is damaged due to non-human factors, we will provide repair services, but the buyer must bear the shipping costs. If the product is damaged due to human factors or customized size modification, etc., the buyer must bear the modification costs and shipping costs. (We do not provide repair services for products other than our products.)
Return and Exchange Policy
According to Article 19 of the Consumer Protection Act, in-store purchases are not subject to the 7-day acceptance period and therefore cannot be returned or exchanged. Online purchases are subject to the 7-day acceptance period. Returns or exchanges will be accepted for obvious defects not listed on the product page. Returns or exchanges based on size, color difference, personal preference, or differences from the product page will not be accepted. Please contact us within 7 days of purchase (including holidays). Returns or exchanges after this date will not be accepted.
